Andrea Tomicich<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Italian fine art photographer. Lives and works in Trieste, where he was born in 1968.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Self-taught. He grew up observing the work of a family friend, a professional photographer, who passed on to him a passion for image-making and introduced him to basic techniques. It was an informal but deep apprenticeship, built on time in the studio, exchange, and shared vision. Over the years, other photographers he met along the way enriched his perspective through collaborations, dialogue, and joint projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He served for several years as president of a photography association in Trieste, an experience that helped him grow not only technically but also in the collective management of photography as a cultural and artistic practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infrared as a vision<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Since 2005, he has devoted himself primarily to infrared photography. Not as a special effect, but as a poetic inquiry: to see beyond the visible, to reveal a dimension that the eyes cannot perceive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He uses full-spectrum converted cameras and a range of filters (from 520nm to 1100nm, including the classic 720nm, 850nm, and 950nm), adjusting the effect according to the context. In his images, nature and human presence coexist in an ethereal balance, removed from ordinary time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
